  • Must be able to lift 50# repetitively.
  • This position is for a team member to rotate in the bagging and stacking product part of our production line.

Summary:
The managing director works closely with the office team, the production team, and the company president. The managing director should develop a working knowledge of all parts of the organization to better lead the team toward success.

Specific Duties:

  • Delegate company activities while meeting, maintaining, and developing growth/profit objectives.
  • Responsible for sales management and distributor relations.
  • Stay up to date with advances in directly related industries.
  • Keeps the team informed of new developments.
  • Work closely with the office team and production team on daily processes as well as development and marketing strategy.
  • Responsible for the overall fulfillment process.
  • Purchase materials to maintain adequate inventories of products and supplies.
  • Responsible for FSMA implementation and compliance.
  • Monitors FDA, DSHEA, AAFCO regulations and guidelines.
  • Responsible for Total Quality Management.
  • Provide and enforce safety training.

Reports To: Production Team Captain

Summary:
The production team apprentice is responsible for learning the supervision of daily operations in the plant. The apprentice will learn to operate standard office equipment, feed manufacturing equipment, computer automation equipment, and be capable of performing all other production positions as needed.

Specific Duties:

  • Supervise and train plant employees.
  • Schedule and implement production activities to include manufacturing.
  • Review daily production reports.
  • Perform regular housekeeping audits.
  • Monitor ingredients and supply inventory.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance and document maintenance activities.
  • Operate and repair manufacturing equipment.
  • Comply with all company, local, state, and federal policies.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and reports.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum requirement of a high school degree or equivalent
  • Experience in feed manufacturing, equipment operation and maintenance helpful.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds repeatedly, climb ladders and operate a pallet jack with 2000 pounds of material, operate a forklift, and working knowledge of basic tools.
  • Pay based on prior experience.

Specific Duties:

  • Organize and execute office activities. 
  • Provide professional correspondence and service to vendors and customers.
  • Follow office procedures for data entry, including but not limited to order entry, invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, payroll tax reporting, inventory, data protection, customer and team member privacy.
  • Maintain office efficiency by cooperating with co-workers.
  • Follow procedures and standards that guide the operations of the office.
  • Research and follow current industry trends and inform co-workers of knowledge.

Personal Qualifications:

  • Must be a self-motivated person who can work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Must be a multi-task-oriented problem solver.
  • Must have the ability to motivate others by working and communicating with co-workers.
  • Must maintain excellent communication and relationships with co-workers, business contacts and community to foster strong teamwork within the company.
  • Must encourage a positive work environment with appropriate professional attitude and cooperation.

Specific Duties:

  • Manage staff schedules, calendars, and appointments.
  • Organize and execute office activities.
  • Provide professional correspondence and service to vendors and customers.
  • Follow office procedures for data entry, including but not limited to order entry, invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, payroll tax reporting, inventory, data protection, customer, and team member privacy.
  • Maintain office efficiency by cooperating with co-workers.
  • Follow procedures and standards that guide the operations of the office.
  • Establish a historical reference for the office by outlining procedures for record management and staff transfers.
  • Study current trends and inform fellow teammates of any changes.
  • Recruit staff, providing orientation and training for new hires.
  • Ensure high performance of office staff.
  • Monitor the progress in meeting financial objectives.
  • Participate actively in the planning and execution of company events.
  • Develop standards and promote activities that enhance operational procedures.
